The third posture is linked to the Monk. This posture calls for a stance that we don’t use for any other reason in Zenryoku-kai. Come up onto one leg, placing the sole of the lifted foot on the side of the knee. Placed hands together in a meditative position over the Heart Gate. Feel the Force come up through the leg, and out the top of the head in a shower, like an umbrella.
Be sure when doing this stance that the standing leg is straight, but not locked. Be sure that the arch of the lifted foot is on the side of the knee joint, with the heel and ball of foot not putting side pressure on the joint. Turn the lifted leg knee out to the side as far as possible.
Hold this position with each side for as long as able, up to 5 minutes.
